1 package instant yeast
1 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Pizza sauce
2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Fresh sliced vegetables such as red, yellow, or green peppers, onion, mushrooms, or tomatoes
In large bowl, combine yeast, water, olive oil, salt, sugar, and wheat flour. Mix well. Add all-purpose flour and stir until dough forms a ball. Knead on floured surface 15 times. Let rest 10 minutes. Roll out into a 14" circle. Transfer to warm pizza stone or large pizza pan. Prick dough with fork to prevent heat bubbles. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and add pizza sauce, cheese, and vegetables. Continue baking for 10-12 minutes more, until cheese is lightly brown. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serves 6-8.
